The interdisciplinary master's program in Data Science combines content from computer science, mathematics, business informatics, and the natural sciences. Basic courses provide you with a comprehensive understanding of machine learning and deep learning, statistical data analysis, data assimilation, business analytics, and big data infrastructures. Advanced courses introduce you to the latest research in your chosen fields.
In seminars, you'll explore complex topics, and in the Applied Data Science module, you'll apply your acquired skills in practice. In the research module, you'll be involved in a research project at the University of Potsdam or one of the Potsdam research institutions. An industrial internship is optional. In the Berlin/Potsdam area, in addition to a vibrant startup scene, several big data companies are available.
